Separate staying customers from drop-offs
Look at oil-change appointments and repair visits where customers choose to stay on site. Those are the visits a lounge station serves. A crowded service drive can be mostly drop-offs, with owners leaving in a shuttle or another car. Count the people using the lounge and note how they spend the visit. Independent auto service centers can use the same test without needing a sales showroom.
The car's charger is in the wrong place
A cable in a vehicle does not help its owner while that vehicle is in a service bay. A rented power bank can charge the phone at a lounge table, then travel with the customer to discuss an estimate or collect an invoice. It keeps charging independent of vehicle access. The rental guide explains the customer process, which runs in the Juiceboxx app rather than through the repair order.
Use the lounge boundary, not the service drive
Consider a station visible when customers enter the lounge from the advisor area. Keep it away from vehicle movement and clear of the service write-up desks, where customers discuss work and hand over keys. A spot hidden in the showroom will not serve someone who entered through a separate service door. Check the path with a customer arriving for maintenance, not only with someone walking in to buy a car.
Assess sales paperwork as a second use
A sales customer may move from a salesperson's desk to a finance office while paperwork is prepared. Charging can be useful during those pauses, but a lounge placement only helps if that customer can find and reach it. Do not steer every buyer through the service department just to rent. A brief test-drive visit with little seated time is a weak reason to host a station on its own.
Keep charging off the vehicle bill
Customers pay $2 per 30 minutes, capped at $12 per 24-hour day, with a $20 card hold released on return. Power banks must be returned within 48 hours. Rentals run in the app and are separate from parts, labor, or a vehicle purchase. Advisors and cashiers never collect power banks or take rental payments. Hosting is $0, with no setup, placement, or installation fee; Juiceboxx services the station.
Build the return into vehicle pickup
Vehicle pickup can send a customer straight from the cashier to the parking area, bypassing the lounge. Choose a position they can reach before getting into the car. A bank left with the keys or inside the vehicle has not been returned. Customers can return to any Juiceboxx station; the return guide explains that option. Compare service and showroom opening hours so a planned return does not depend on the wrong door being open.
Judge the room before discussing the screen
Station screens can carry advertising for local businesses and sponsors. Consider messages relevant to a service customer's next stop, without competing for attention with repair estimates or dealership notices. The digital screen guide covers the format. A drop-off-only shop is a poor charging fit, even with a busy forecourt. Send lounge photos, customer routes, and hours through host a station. Venue commission is set by a location-specific hosting agreement; the hosting cost guide covers that discussion.
